About CRP

Carribean Resources and Power works alongside government officials in developing nations to offer High-Efficiency Energy Solutions (HEES) for many different applications including hospitals, clinics, schools, and community centers.

Our High-Efficiency Energy Solutions operate at 90-95% efficiency, delivering a continual supply of energy. Per day, one unit provides 4,000 square feet of air conditioning by utilizing exhaust from the generator, and up to 700 liters (185 gallons) of potable water created from condensation. A large hospital may use 15 units, which will provide 120,000 square feet of air conditioning and 425,800 liters (11,250 gallons) of water per day.

There are eleven million people and 122 hospitals in Haiti. HEES installed in one hospital could have the potential to help over 30,000 patients per year receive unprecedented care. Currently, many hospitals in Haiti use low-efficiency diesel generators in the event of a blackout and for equipment that cannot tolerate a wide-voltage supply. Energy blackouts can be dangerous, even fatal, during surgical operations or for patients that require constant monitoring or treatment.

Our five-year goal is to install units in 50 hospitals throughout Haiti. Our team will work with and train local Haitian mechanics, providing jobs in the region and garnishing community support for sustainable initiatives.

Caribbean Resources & Power

Meet Dr. Dave Bejot

Dave was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, and grew up in a small farm town in Seward. He knew he wanted to help people through medicine, so he chose to pursue a career in optometry and received his doctorate from the Ohio State College of Optometry.

In the mid-2000s, Dave met Eric Messer who, as an engineer, was organizing a mission team to provide medical eye care and prescribe glasses.

In 2011, after many trips to Haiti, Dave and Eric founded DEXA For Global Humanity (http://dexahaitirelief.com), a non-profit dedicated to helping Haitians with the medical, educational and structural needs they face on a daily basis.

In 2016, they launched Caribbean Resources and Power, with the goal of supplying low-cost energy and clean water to the people of the Caribbean.

Meet Eric Messer

Eric served in the Army from 1981-1989, as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division and a crew chief on Blackhawk helicopters. In 1985, he married Robin, and several years later they welcomed their daughter and son into the family. Eric has worked since 1999 as the mechanical department engineering manager at Sponseller Group, Inc.

In the mid-2000s, Eric was asked by Pastor Mark Cryderman to be on a church mission board. The result was that Eric led a medical eye care team into Dessalines, Haiti. When Dr. Dave Bejot expressed an interest in the trip, he became the lead doctor.

From that day, Eric and Dave have teamed up to do what they can to alleviate suffering in Haiti. They have made many good friends in Haiti and feel blessed by the opportunity to continue offering support through DEXA, and now through Caribbean Resources and Power as well.

Stats

  • For every five tons, the High-Efficiency Energy System (HEES) will cool 2,000 square feet.
  • Units are available in 5 tons, 10 tons, and 20 tons.
  • The smallest High-Efficiency Energy System unit (5 tons) can produce up to 648 liters of water per day.
  • The largest High-Efficiency Energy System unit (20 tons) can produce up to 2,792 liters of water per day.
  • The High-Efficiency Energy System is 95% efficient when using all 3 outputs of water, AC air, and electricity.
  • The High-Efficiency Energy System will function continuously for 60 months, or as long as there is fuel, before requiring a maintenance shutdown.
