Carribean Resources and Power works alongside government officials in developing nations to offer High-Efficiency Energy Solutions (HEES) for many different applications including hospitals, clinics, schools, and community centers.
Our High-Efficiency Energy Solutions operate at 90-95% efficiency, delivering a continual supply of energy. Per day, one unit provides 4,000 square feet of air conditioning by utilizing exhaust from the generator, and up to 700 liters (185 gallons) of potable water created from condensation. A large hospital may use 15 units, which will provide 120,000 square feet of air conditioning and 425,800 liters (11,250 gallons) of water per day.
There are eleven million people and 122 hospitals in Haiti. HEES installed in one hospital could have the potential to help over 30,000 patients per year receive unprecedented care. Currently, many hospitals in Haiti use low-efficiency diesel generators in the event of a blackout and for equipment that cannot tolerate a wide-voltage supply. Energy blackouts can be dangerous, even fatal, during surgical operations or for patients that require constant monitoring or treatment.
Our five-year goal is to install units in 50 hospitals throughout Haiti. Our team will work with and train local Haitian mechanics, providing jobs in the region and garnishing community support for sustainable initiatives.
